The Story of a Cowboy

Everyone has 1000 stories to tell, and this one is about The Cowboy.

Rooted throughout history. Building up ranches. And the expansion of the West. The story of a cowboy has adapted and grown with each passing generation. Although the cowboy’s role faded back in the 1920’s, Hollywood movies and local events continue to bring these western stories to life.

From tending to animals and watching over the fields, to romantic stories of riding off into the sunset, we have all heard a cowboy tale of sorts and how they have evolved through generations.

Take the Calgary Stampede, rich in history as far back as 100 years.

Competitors saddle up to strut their stuff at the rodeo. Country singers come to sing their hearts out. And the midway fair will take you for a spin. Every year tells a different story of how the Stampede continues to be the greatest outdoor show on earth.

The number of working cowboys may be less than the past, but that lifestyle is still found across North America. Building up their ranches, and raising their animals, the cowboy stands tall and tells the tale that once was The Wild West.
